Michael B. Jordan ended his Sunday night with an Oscar in one hand and an In-N-Out burger in the other.

At the 98th Academy Awards on March 15, Jordan was announced as the winner for best actor for his dual role in “Sinners” as distinct twins Smoke and Stack. After celebrating the achievement with his family, co-stars and director Ryan Coogler, he made his way from the Dolby Theatre to In-N-Out to chow down on a burger.

Jordan stood at the counter waiting for his burger and fries while still clutching his Oscar, a TikTok shared by NBC News showed, as the In-N-Out staff and patrons in the restaurant loudly cheered for him. In the clip, the 39-year-old actor smiled wide and posed for photos. Customers were heard congratulating him and he thanked them.

Another viral TikTok showed Jordan sitting at a booth in the restaurant and taking a big bite of a “3×3,” with his Oscar just a few inches away. He then nodded in satisfaction and got ready to dig in again.

“When you just chillin and the 2026 best actor walks in to celebrate with a double double by your table,” the TikTok user caption the post.

Jordan isn’t the first star to spend their night indulging in an In-N-Out burger. Stopping for a bite at the burger chain has been a post-Oscars tradition for yeast. In 2024, cameras captured “Maestro” producer and legendary director Steven Spielberg eating In-N-Out at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. That year, food from the burger joint was catered.

Other stars, like Paul Giamatti, Jamie Lee Curtis and more have also popped into In-N-Out the night of a major awards show.

So, Jordan continued the tradition on Sunday, on a night where he was constantly showered with applause.

After Adrien Brody announced him as the best actor winner toward the end of the evening, the Dolby Theatre audience gave Jordan a standing ovation.

As he took the moment in on stage, the raucous cheering continued.

During his speech, he told the supportive crowd and fans at home, “I know you guys want me to do well and I want to do that because you guys bet on me. And I’m going to keep stepping up. I’m going to keep being the best version of myself I can be.”

“Sinners” entered the evening with a historic 16 nominations and finished with four wins, including Jordan’s victory.
