Livin’ la vida loca — or, in this case, mocha — certainly has its perks.

On Feb. 17, a prospective customer walked into Sip 305, a coffee shop located near Florida International University in Miami. He’d never been there before, but as soon as he walked in, he noticed his name on a sign: “People Who Sip for Free.”

Tickled by the coincidence, he took a selfie video with the sign. But even more shocked than he were the shop workers, who couldn’t believe Ricky Martin was right there in front of them, days after performing in the Super Bowl halftime show with Bad Bunny.

“Aye, qué casualidad,” Martin says in a video filmed inside the cafe. “Besos y abrazos. Look at this.”

The board on the wall lists a few celebrities’ names: Pedro Pascal, Bad Bunny, football quarterbacks Drake Maye and Sam Darnold, and, smack-dab in the middle, Martin. Another row has fellow halftime show performer, Lady Gaga, and the band Green Day, who performed during the Super Bowl’s opening ceremony at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Martin laughs, then pans the camera to Sip 305 employee and FIU senior Nacosi Rosemond, who is shocked into near-silence. She says “um” a few times while staring at the Latin music superstar, who pans back to himself, giggling.

Commenters had a lot to say about the coincidental celebrity encounter.

“Omg they manifested him,” one wrote.

“Imagine not having a shift at this moment,” another said.

A third added, “I didn’t have a shift when Lana Del Rey came at our store. It’s been over a decade and I still can’t let it go.”

Later, Rosemond commented on the post, “the pure shock on my face is frying me.” She says she was washing her hands in the back of the shop when she heard the bell calling her to the front, only to see him standing there.

People seem to relate to the way she reacted to Mr. “Volveras” himself.

“I too would be that girl in the back: flabbergasted, unable to get words out,” one person commented.

“Honestly, the only thing I could think to say to him was, ‘You know, you’re the first celebrity to ever come in on the board,’” Rosemond tells TODAY.com with a giggle, adding that Martin conversed with customers waiting to be helped.

“He was super sweet, told them all about the Super Bowl halftime show, and they asked what his order was going to be,” she says. “He said, of course, a mango smoothie.’”

The cafe posted a second angle of the interaction, showing Martin taking selfies with fans as onlookers stare at the star.

Manager Tiffany Nguyen says the “Free Sips” board, which lists celebrities’ names, is mostly a joke, but the shop’s staff updates it based on current events.

“It has relevant celebrities and, every couple of months, we change it, and we also put one of our Instagram followers on there so that way an actual customer that comes in gets to see their name on the board and they get to feel like a celebrity,” Nguyen tells TODAY.com. “So yesterday, we actually had one of the celebrities come in, and so that was really cool.”

Martin hasn’t posted the video to his social accounts — yet — but Rosemond says they got it because he AirDropped it to them.

Did he ultimately have to pay for his drink?

“Of course we gave it to him for free!” says Rosemond.
