Nestlé has launched Nestlé Vital, a new range of science-based nutrition drinks designed to support healthy ageing, as demand accelerates for products that help consumers maintain energy, strength and recovery later in life.

The launch strengthens Nestlé’s push into the fast-growing healthy longevity space, placing nutrition at the centre of physical and cognitive health.  As populations age globally, the company is targeting rising interest in proactive, nutrition-led approaches to ageing well.

Serena Aboutboul, Head of Nestlé’s Nutrition Business, said:

Consumers are increasingly seeking solutions that help them not only live longer but also enjoy healthier lives while maintaining their strength and vitality.

In fact, the healthy longevity segment is experiencing particularly robust growth. With Nestlé Vital, we are responding to this fast-growing trend by combining decades of nutrition expertise with insights from multiple clinical studies to create great-tasting drinks that support people’s daily energy, sleep, and overall vitality needs.

Our goal is to make healthy longevity a possibility for everyone.”

Science-backed approach to ageing nutrition

Developed across Nestlé’s global R&D network, the Vital range is formulated to complement daily diets and address nutritional needs associated with ageing in a convenient format. The initial line-up includes eight powdered shakes in four flavours – strawberry, vanilla, chocolate and unflavoured – tailored for morning and evening use.

The Morning Routine helps maintain focus, energy and strength, while the Evening Routine supports sleep quality, muscle recovery and healthy skin. The drinks are low in fat, contain no added sugars and provide high-quality proteins, fibre, vitamins, minerals and patented bioactive blends.

Dr Isabelle Bureau-Franz, Head of R&D for Nutrition, highlighted the growing body of research linking nutrition to ageing outcomes.

Our research looks across all aspects of ageing, including how nutrition impacts metabolic health, digestion, mobility, brain health, sleep, and the menopausal transition. Emerging evidence also shows that nutrition can impact the pace of biological ageing.

With Nestlé Vital, we have translated this science, and, together with our proprietary protein technology and clinically proven bioactives, we developed simple, great tasting, nutrient rich products aimed at people from midlife onward who want to start ageing smarter.”

Nestlé Vital will debut in Latin America this year, followed by expansion into Europe and Asia. The range is the first product under Nestlé’s wider ‘Smart Aging’ programme, which aims to make healthy ageing more accessible through expert guidance and simple daily routines.
