ferrero rocher cheesecake bars

Ferrero Rocher is synonymous with the holidays for me. I grew up considering these sweet chocolate treats to be the epitome of fancy, since we only ever bought them during the holidays as an extra-special treat. I looked forward to them every year, and now I’ve turned them into an indulgent cheesecake bar that’s certainly special enough to appear at any dinner party. They’re rich and fudgy with bites of Ferrero Rocher throughout. Plus, the topping mimicking the coating of one, which, not to pick favorites, is my favorite part. I couldn’t leave out Nutella in this cheesecake recipe, so I layered some in between the brownie to make it extra rich with hazelnut flavor. Long story short, these dessert bars are the shareable version of everyone’s favorite chocolate treat.

Even though you have to think ahead to freeze the Nutella, the recipe itself isn’t complicated. The cheesecake portion is nothing compared to a classic cheesecake and is much less stressful to make, and I take full advantage of a boxed brownie mix to make the bottom layer extra easy.

If you have any leftovers, these bars can be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
