I love a chocolate truffle or Oreo cookie ball during the holiday season, but i’ll admit—I have a soft spot in my heart for these Rice Krispie snowballs. Each one of these peanut butter, marshmallow, and Rice Krispie-based bites has a secret surprise when you bite into them: a mini Reese’s. Covered in melted white chocolate and topped with festive sprinkles, these bite-sized treats are the epitome of a crowd-pleasing holiday dessert. Give them away as a homemade food gift, and you’ll be more popular than Santa himself.
Hot Tip: It’s super important to let the Rice Krispies cool until they are easy enough to handle before moving on with the recipe.

Ingredients
-
- Step 1In a large pot over medium-low heat, melt butter. Add marshmallows, peanut butter, and salt. Cook, stirring, until mixture is melted and smooth, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies. Let cool slightly.
- Step 2Scoop tablespoon-size portions of cereal mixture onto a clean work surface and flatten with your hands or the back of the spoon. Place a Reese’s Mini in the center. Roll cereal mixture into a ball to enclose Reese’s Mini. Repeat with remaining Reese’s.
- Step 3In a medium microwave-safe bowl, microwave chips and oil in 30-second increments, stirring between each, until melted and smooth, about 90 seconds total.
- Step 4Using a fork, dip each ball into melted chocolate, then lift and gently tap fork on edge of bowl to less excess chocolate drip off. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with remaining balls.
- Step 5Top with sprinkles. Refrigerate until chocolate is set, about 20 minutes.
