baked brie topped with apricot jam and sliced almonds

If you’re a cheesehead like me, you know a thing or two about baked brie. Warm, melty cheese that you can both spread and dip, baked brie is the ultimate cheeseboard accessory. No dinner party is complete without a warm wheel of cheese (and you can quote me on that). If you’re looking for an easy way to impress, baked Brie is going to be your go-to appetizer. With only three ingredients, this showstopper won’t break your bank either. The best part? It only takes 15 minutes to make.

There are dozens of ways to dress up your baked Brie, but apricot jam and sliced almonds are my personal favorites. The tartness from the apricot pairs perfectly with the bitterness of the almonds and is irresistible atop a bed of creamy brie. Keep reading on for all of my top tips on how to ace this classic appetizer and make it your own:

How To Make Baked Brie

INGREDIENTS

  • Brie: The star of the show! Any standard 7-oz wheel of Brie will work for this recipe, but because it’s the most important ingredient here, make sure to find one that you love. I like to use a younger, less ripe Brie to get the best texture and flavor.
  • Apricot Preserves: My favorite apricot preserves are Bonne Maman brand, but feel free to use whatever you have on hand! You can also substitute with another type of preserve or jam of your preference.
  • Sliced Almonds: Sliced almonds provide the best texture for baked brie because they aren’t too chunky and have just the right amount of crunch.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

This recipe is incredibly simple; all you have to do is spread the apricot preserves on your wheel of brie and then scatter with the sliced almonds. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes, until it looks like it’s just starting to ooze. Once it’s nice and melty, serve with plenty of crusty bread and crackers, and enjoy!

Storage

If you have any leftovers, they can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days. If you would like to reheat it, place it in a 350° oven for 5 minutes until the Brie starts to melt again.
