Costco has a new, heat-and-serve dish that might be just the thing to bring to Thanksgiving.

On Nov. 15, Costco Hot Finds’ Laura Lamb posted a video revealing Costco’s new lobster mac and cheese, calling it the “ultimate comfort food.”

“It’s over four pounds of lobster mac and cheese,” she adds.

Lamb says that when she got home, she baked the pan for about 45 minutes at 400 F until the “cheese was bubbling.”

“It was not only so cheesy, but the tender, buttery lobster puts this one over the top,” she says after taking a bite.

Lamb’s video — whose caption reads “This is the dish to bring to thanksgiving!!” — got millions of views on both Instagram and TikTok.

According to Lamb, the 4-pound pan of lobster mac is being sold for $6.99 a pound at her local Costco in Frisco, Texas.

“It’s the perfect dish to bring because it’s different but the mac and cheese part makes it a classic. Plus, it’s so creamy and will give everyone something to chat about!” Lamb tells TODAY.com. “It’s great value for this large dish and the only prep is baking!”

Although the dish is getting rave reviews from more than just Lamb, some people in her comments and elsewhere on social media had critiques of the dish:

“Thats mac and cheese with a side of lobster lol,” wrote one Instagram user.

“99% Mac n cheese 1% lobster,” wrote another.

While one Reddit user said it was a little salty, others chimed in with seasonings they added to plus up theirs, including paprika, garlic powder, Old Bay, MSG, black pepper, breadcrumbs and melted butter.

Meanwhile, to the skeptics, Lamb says “there was plenty” of lobster. “Once you break up the big pieces of lobster that were sitting on top and mix it in, you would get lobster in every bite.”

And one Reddit user backed up her claim.

“There’s shredded tail meat in the mac, with claw meat topping it….to anyone wondering,” they noted, adding that the dish would be “selling thru Thanksgiving.”
