mushrooms stuffed with cheese, jalapeno, and bacon

Traditional game day fare is all fine and good (great, even!) for a casual hang, but when it comes to holiday dinners and parties, a little fancier fare is in order. This doesn’t mean you have to give up the flavors you love, though! Instead, just tuck them into a more elevated package, like we did in these jalapeño popper-inspired stuffed mushrooms.

We fill these with all the classic ingredients—cream cheese, cheddar (though pepper Jack works too!), jalapeños, and bacon—then bake them just like traditional stuffed mushrooms. They’re great for people who like a little spice but can’t handle the heat of traditional jalapeño poppers. Feel free to omit the bacon if you want to keep these vegetarian, or add extra if that’s your favorite part of the game day staple. Whatever you do, make extra—stuffed mushrooms always go fast.
