
Ben’s Original has issued a recall for three of its rice products sold by Amazon, Target, HEB and other retailers due to the possible presence of small stones in the packaging.
The company announced Oct. 10 that a limited number of its Ben’s Original Long Grain White, Whole Grain Brown and Long Grain & Wild Ready Rice products have been voluntarily recalled as a result of the possible presence of small, naturally occurring stones. It says these stones originate from the rice farm.
The recall only affects certain batches of the rice products and not any other Ben’s Original products. The company is having them removed from any stores where they were sent and notifying consumers.
Which Ben’s Original Products Are Subject to the Recall?
The recall affects Ben’s Original Long Grain White, Whole Grain Brown and Long Grain & Wild Ready Rice with specific batch codes, all with a best used by date of 8/2026.

The batch codes, which are found on the bottom seal of the back of the package, are as follows:
- Ben’s Original Ready Rice Long Grain White Rice: 533ELGRV22, 534ALGRV22
- Ben’s Original Ready Rice Whole Grain Brown Rice: 534AMGRV22, 534BMGRV22, 534DMGRV22.
- Ben’s Original Ready Rice Long Grain & Wild Rice: 533BMGRV22, 533CLGRV22, 533CMGRV22.

The small stones pose a risk of oral or digestive tract injury if they are ingested, according to the company.
There have been no reports of injury or illness, according to Ben’s Original.
