Trick or treating is great when you’re a kid, and a guaranteed sugar rush outweighs the social anxiety of asking a stranger for candy, but as an adult, you realize there are better ways to get sweet treats on Halloween, completely from the comfort of your own home. These adorable bites are inspired by TheLittleBlogOfVegan on TikTok, though my version is not vegan. I used store-bought blueberry jam and store-bought pie dough to make this recipe as user-friendly as possible (but if you’re ambitious, make your own!). All you have to do is cut them out, fill them up, crimp them together, and voilà—you have the most delicious sweet treat to wow your friends.

I used a small round piping tip to cut out both the mouth and the eyes of the ghost, but if you don’t have one on hand, you can use a small straw or anything else small and round. These cute little hand pies are the perfect dessert to bring to your next spooky festivity, Halloween party, or scary movie night!
