As a cold brew drinker year-round, the arrival of pumpkin spice latte season doesn’t really affect my coffee order, but I am sometimes a little jealous of not being able to join in on the seasonal fun. That’s where Disney’s Witches’ Cold Brew—a French vanilla iced coffee topped with a pumpkin-spiced whipped cream—comes in. It’s subtle and coffee-forward, but still fun and festive. Best of all, it can be easily made at home; no trip to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party necessary. Read on for everything you need to know.
The cold brew:
This is meant to be a lighter, sweeter drink, so if you’re using standard cold brew, you may want to try diluting it. You can adjust the sweetness level to your preference by adding more or less maple syrup. This is one of the huge perks of making your own version at home—being able to do it up just the way you like it.
The whipped cream topping:
I know I can’t be the only one left wondering what to do with the end of a can of pumpkin puree post-fall baking projects, right? This is the best use of any leftover you’ll inevitably have after making pumpkin bread or pumpkin cookies. Feel free to reduce the amount of maple syrup here if you prefer your coffee less sweet. Top with fun Halloween sprinkles if you like—that’s how they do it at Disney, after all.
