Tru Fru, LLC announced Sept. 26 that third-party manufacturer Georgia Nut Company issued a voluntary recall of multiple varieties of Tru Fru Freeze Dried products, which may be contaminated with metal. The recall was also shared by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall. The company issued the recall after a consumer reached out about the subject.

Which Products Are Part of the Recall?

The products include Tru Fru Freeze Dried Strawberries in Dark & White Chocolate and Tru Fru Freeze Dried Strawberries & Crème listed in the shown tables.

There are four varieties of snacks included:

Where Were the Products Sold?

The items were distributed in the United States and sold in brick and mortar stores, as well as online, including Albertson’s, CVS, Food Lion, H-E-B, Hungryroot, Ingles Markets, Kroger, Stew Leonard’s and Target.
