Taco Bell is throwing its menu back to when “Say My Name” by Destiny’s Child was dominating the airwaves.
Tex Mex-inspired chain just announced this year’s old-school offerings: the Decades Y2K Menu, which brings flavors from the early 2000s to the Bell, starting Sept. 9.
It is also dropping a new $9 Discovery Luxe Cravings Box, a 12-taco Variety Taco Party Pack, vintage-style merch and a Tamagotchi-inspired pet.
What’s on the Decades Y2K Menu?

All of the items on the Decades Y2K Menu hail from the late ‘90s to the aughts, with popular-but-long-gone tacos, burritos and a dessert making a comeback:
- Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos: This nostalgic item features a Cool Ranch Doritos shell filled with seasoned beef, lettuce and cheddar cheese for $2.49.
- Double Decker Taco: This item was first introduced in 1995 and returned in 2006, and features a bean-filled soft tortilla wrapped around a crunchy taco shell filled with seasoned beef, lettuce and shredded cheddar cheese for $2.49.
- 7-Layer Burrito: This vegetarian item first hit the scene in 1993 and combines refried beans, seasoned rice, reduced-fat sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, diced tomatoes and a three-cheese blend wrapped inside a flour tortilla for $2.49.
- Chili Cheese Burrito: This item debuted in 1990 and features chili and cheddar cheese wrapped inside a flour tortilla for $2.99.
- Caramel Apple Empanada: This early-2000s deep-fried dessert is filled with apple pieces and a creamy caramel filling for $2.99. Rewards members can score early access to dessert from Sept. 2 — 8 via the Taco Bell app.
Celebrating 20 Years of Crunchwrap with a $9 Discovery Luxe Cravings Box
The most iconic (and hexagonal) Taco Bell item, which made its debut in the 2000s — the Crunchwrap Supreme — is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
In honor of stuffed, six-sided sustenance, customers can get the all-new Discovery Luxe Cravings Box, featuring the Crunchwrap Supreme, Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos, a crunchy taco, chips and nacho cheese sauce, and a medium fountain drink, for $9.
The chain will also offer a new Variety Taco Party Pack featuring six Crunchy Tacos and six Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos for $23.99.
Decades Y2K Merch

Taco Bell is continuing the Y2K vibes with a fashion relic of the era: Ed Hardy.
Rewards members have the opportunity to grab a one-of-a-kind collab hat and other merch, including a digital watch and vintage-style shirts. Only 500 of each are available through weekly Tuesday drops at 2 p.m. PT from Sept. 2 — 16:
- Sept. 2: Ed Hardy hats
- Sept. 9: Y2K-inspired digital watches
- Sept. 16: Vintage-style Decades Y2K T-Shirts
Tamagotchi-Inspired Digital Pet
Last but certainly not least, Taco Bell is debuting the Crunchkin, its first Tamagotchi-like digital pet — a “cute companion that you care for and feed but with a distinctly Taco Bell twist.”
As you play with the digital creature, it grows, evolving with qualifying Decades Y2K Menu purchases and giving customers access to in-app mini-games, bonus points and Taco Bell Rewards. Rewards members who fully evolve their Crunchkin will also unlock the opportunity to enter in a sweepstakes for a limited-edition Taco Bell Y2K Merch Capsule.
